Hey look, I'm setting an apple next to a rotten orange. That means apples are better than oranges. Right?

Exactly, apples ARE better than oranges, oranges are awkward to eat, get juice everywhere, social awkward to actually peel, which in itself risks not only orange juice in the eye, but also generates masses of orange peel, and often contain unpleasant pips.

By comparison, the apple is simple to each, the waste (core) is easily discarded, are super delicious and generally the better of the two fruits as they lack any of the previously mentioned problems. This is the primary reason why grocers report around 500-600% greater apple sales than orange sales.
